On Tuesday, we danced. We celebrated all that the Lord has done, is doing, and will do.

January 12 will be a day that I remember forever. My squad and I went to the big field and just worshipped. We each had our own headphones in, all worshipping to different songs, but all praising the same God. And wow was it beautiful.

As I stood barefoot in the cold wet field, I worshipped more freely than I ever have before. I looked around to see complete and utter freedom. As I looked around, I saw people on their knees in surrender; dancing, praying, running, and even somersaulting down the hill. I was reminded of the joy and freedom that the Lord brings.

We danced and praised for what felt like an eternity (it was actually only an hour but hey time with the Lord is crazy).

Throughout the past two weeks, the Lord has shown me the glory of his face in new and fresh ways. Psalm 65:8 says, “The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.”

The more I get to know my Creator, the more awestruck I am of who he is. Even Creation sings His praises! How can I not dance and shout for joy when I worship him?

The God we serve is fun. The God we serve deserves our wild, unconventional, crazy ways of worship. I am learning so much about the Father by letting go of my preconceived ideas of how praising and serving him is supposed to look.

I am learning to live as a daughter who is set free. The Spirit resides in the midst of our freedom and what a beautiful thing that is.

January 12. A day of complete freedom. A day that I will remember forever.

Another little update! The Lord has switched up a lot of our plans the past few weeks. Tomorrow, instead of heading to Nicaragua, we will be leaving for Costa Rica!! Although this is unexpected, I know the Lord is in control. Holding this season with open hands and excited for all that is to come! Please reach out if you have any questions regarding this change… I will do my best to answer them <3
