“You will find out who your new team is at mini-debrief in San Jose.”

I read these words about a month and a half ago as my team and I were finishing up our time in Costa Rica. It was a hard email to read. I loved my team and grieved what we had.

But I also knew that the Lord had something beautiful in store; this change was not a surprise for him. In fact, it was ordained by him.

One night in San Jose, we all sat in a field outside our hostel. We were handed papers with a list of names of it; our new team. I sat for around five minutes before I opened it, just sitting with the Lord and asking him to speak to me. I asked for peace and contentment with whatever He had ordained. He spoke that this new team and season would be one that I was pursued and loved like I never have been before. Not only by my team, but by the Father.

Change is hard! But the Lord has placed me with a group of bold, unique, and incredible women of God. This team is together for a purpose. We each bring different gifts to the table that each hold so much power.

HERE THEY ARE! JUST LOOK AT THEM! (also look how dysfunctional we are)

Our leadership team prayed over each new team before choosing and naming them. In an email from our squad mentor Hailey, she wrote,

“When we were making teams and I had to name them, the CAVE felt the most appropriate for you guys. That you will be a team of women who deeply seek the fathers face and know his goodness at even greater depths than you thought possible. I feel like the Lord is saying this is a season where each of you bring your full selves to the table and understand his care and love for you in ways you have been longing too. Where it goes from head knowledge to heart knowledge and his love emanates out of you at every turn.”

Isn’t that powerful?

As we learn to walk together in this new community, the Lord is working in us in just those ways. We have begun to choose into hard things, knowing that it will benefit our team and our relationship with the Father.

We are women that desire to sit in communion with Abba and love each other deeply from the overflow of our time with Him. We are women who say bold things out of love. We are women who’s words hold so much power. We are women that have a desire for the Word and push each other to dive into truth. We are women that walk in free and abundant joy. We are women of worship.

And lastly, we are a strong group of women that is a THREAT to the enemy.

I love each and every one of these beautiful women deeply. The Lord is showing me something through each and every one of them. Goodness gracious, I am just so excited for these last few months.
