The other morning, God asked me to look around and try to see him in everything. The small, intimate details of creation that we so often miss; and that’s exactly what I began to do. So, how did I see God this week?
I saw God in the rain drops as they hit small puddles. As the rain misted around me, the splashing of the raindrops in the puddle reminded me of the attention to detail that God has for his creation. I heard God in the sound of chirping birds.Every morning, I am woken up to a chorus of birds singing; birds singing songs to their Creator. I felt God in the smooth rocks I found in cold river water. As I sat in the cold water stacking stones, I sat in awe at his beauty. Even the rocks sing his praises. I experienced God through the rising sun rays as they shone upon my face, the brightness too overwhelming to open my eyes. Just as the sun warmed me, I am surrounded in warmth by the Father. Isn’t it wild how God revealed himself to me through such small details like raindrops and loud birds?
Right now, I am constantly surrounded by the beauty and majesty of God’s creation. His handiwork is so evident in the creation that I am surrounded by everyday. And how easy would it be for me to miss his glory in the every day?Creation quite literally SINGS the Father’s praises. As the birds chirp, they are singing praises to their King. As the raindrops fall, they are falling by the command of their Creator. When the flowers bloom, they are bowing down to their Father. Creation worships their Creator, even when we can’t.
A verse that the Lord has been reminding me of throughout this season is Luke 19:40:
“‘I tell you,’ he replied, ‘if they keep quiet, even the stones will cry out.’”
Friends—even when we cannot utter praise, creation is still singing his praise. When we fail to see him working in our own lives, all we have to do is look around us; all we have to do is look at his creation.
Each morning for the past week, I have been listening to this song to start my day. As I sit in the presence of the Lord, I am reminded that he is all around me; he is in everything. “I can hear it in the crackle of a bonfire. And I can hear it in the middle of the ocean water. Oh, I just can’t explain, but it makes me wanna cry. And I can hear it when the rain falls on my windowsill. On a playground where children’s laughter lives. Oh, I can’t explain, but it makes me wanna cry. And I can hear it in the busy New York City streets. And I can hear it in the country Georgia fields of green. Oh, I can’t explain, no, but it makes me wanna cry.” (“Voice of God” by Chandler Moore, Dante Bowe, and Steffany Gretzinger)
So I ask you, how have you seen God this week? How have you heard the voice of God in your every day life? I encourage you to look around. He is in more places than you might think.
Yes yes yes! Thank you so much for reading, it means a lot.

Awesome reminder that despite the circumstances surrounding us and drowning out that still small voice at times our Father is there in the smallest of details in everything around us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your journey.
